I hiked Limekiln Creek Trail near my house
 with three friends this morning.

Even the weather report warned that
there will be light rain,

the sky was gloomy, but dry and
 the temperature was upper 50s F,

perfect weather to hike.

 I am so lucky to live near this trail,

 it is walking distance from my house.  

The small stream runs through whole trail, 

I don't know where the water comes from

 but, this stream never dries out
even during severe drought in California.

 I took a picture of perfect spot to paint. 

I couldn't wait to paint.

I experimented new painting technique I learned from on line.

 I dropped a few good amount of different colorful acrylic paint on the panel,

and spread with painting palette knife.  

Next, I did negative painting on it

then, details were added last.  

This is my 50th painting out of 500 paintings that

I set the goal to do within 2 years.
